GarageSense is operated by Orange Labs Ltd and provides vehicle information, MOT insights, tax estimates, reminders, digital vehicle data snapshots, and AI-powered guidance.

- Vehicle Information: Vehicle registration numbers you search for, MOT history, mileage records, tax status, vehicle classification, saved vehicles, reminders and vehicle data snapshots.
- Service Logs & Uploaded Content: Service dates, mileage entries, notes, titles and any photos or images you choose to upload within the app.
- Account Information (Optional): If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication details necessary to provide account-based functionality.
- Guest Identifier: When using the app in guest mode, a device-based identifier is used to associate saved data and purchases with your device.
- Subscription Information: Premium subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed securely by Apple App Store or Google Play. GarageSense does not receive or store payment card details.
- Technical & Usage Data: Limited technical information such as app version, device type, system logs and crash reports to maintain stability and improve performance.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide vehicle checks, tax estimates, MOT insights and data snapshots.
- Enable premium and AI-powered functionality.
- Store saved vehicles, reminders and service logs.
- Associate purchases with your account or device.
- Maintain app performance, reliability and security.
- Respond to user support enquiries.
AI-powered features process information you provide solely to generate the requested analysis. AI outputs are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a human unless you contact support.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we process personal data based on:
- Performance of a contract – to provide app functionality and premium services.
- Consent – where you voluntarily create an account or provide optional data.

Account information is retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal, regulatory or security purposes.
Guest-mode data is linked to your device and may be lost if the app is deleted, the device is reset or the device is changed.
Vehicle search and technical log data are retained only as long as necessary to maintain performance, security and service reliability.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
